Long hot, humid run
The schedule called for 20 miles today. That was the goal going out. At about 16 miles, my shoes had been squishy for the last 50 minutes, and I rationalized that I am already way ahead of last year's marathon training (but no where near Joe Reger-ready), so I ended the run at 16.5. I went through 3 shots of gel, some Sport Beans and 46 ounces of fluid. I know I didn't take in enough liquid, so I need to continue working on that. I lost 5 pounds, so I need to calculate my fluid requirements based on my intake and weight loss. Still, a good steady effort to build endurance.
